By allowing users to choose from specific passages or textbooks, Bible Vocab+ ensures a focused and efficient learning experience. Please note that occasionally vocab items may differ slightly from those presented in the textbooks.

The app includes three slideshow modes: Vocab Mode displays words in their dictionary form, Parsing Mode tests users on grammatical forms as they appear in the text, and Verses Mode allows users to view whole verses along with parsing, dictionary forms, and glosses.

Bible Vocab+ enriches the learning experience with Greek audio provided by Dr. George Athas from Moore College in Sydney. These recordings, employing a restored koine pronunciation system, cover words from the Greek New Testament. Users can sample the audio for the 100 most frequently occurring words for free, and further access is available for download at a nominal fee.

Data sources for the app include four Greek Testament texts: SBL, Westcott-Hort, Tischendorf, and Byzantine. The OT text is based on the Westminster Leningrad Codex provided by Open Scriptures. The Greek Lexicons utilized are Dodson (2010) from greeklexicon.org and the Mounce Concise Greek-English Lexicon (© 1993. William Mounce. All Rights Reserved - billmounce.com/greek-dictionary). The Hebrew/Aramaic Lexicon derives primarily from the Brown-Driver-Briggs lexicon, also provided by Open Scriptures. Additionally, users can make use of glosses from the available textbooks.
